The 1st Singapore National Caregivers Conference is organised by AWWA Centre for Caregivers as a response to hearing from many caregivers across Singapore as to their need for resources and advice on how to balance multiple priorities in their life.

Most recently at the AWWA Centre for Caregivers, a Handbook for Caregivers was developed and 15,000 copies were distributed Free. In addition, the Centre has organised Caregiver’s Week for three years since 2006 and the Model Caregivers Awards for the past two years since 2007 to recognise those who have cared with commitment, compassion, resourcefulness and have been an inspiration to the community. Through its training programmes and services, the centre hopes to empower caregivers and assure them that in their journey of caregiving, they are not alone.
